Peter Haber: Zur Quellenkritik von Wikipedia. Ein Forschungsbericht
Anhand von Zwischenergebnissen aus einem Seminar an der Universität Wien im WS 2009/10 zeigt Peter Haber die qualitativen Unterschiede verschiedener Wikipedia-Artikel mit historischem Thema. In einem inhaltsanalytischen Vergleich verglichen die SeminarteilnehmerInnen insgesamt 20 Artikel der deutsch- und englischsprachigen Wikipedia mit Hinzunahme von Vergleichsgrößen wie Brockhaus miteinander. Der Vermutung folgend, dass zwischen den beiden Wikipedias verschiedene Qualitäten bzw. Qualitätsunterschiede feststellbar sind, wurden die Artikel aus den Themengruppen Begriffe, Epochen, Ereignisse, Personen, Methoden ausgewählt und nach Qualitätskriterien wie Richtigkeit, Objektivität, Verständlichkeit, Pluralismus und auch Orthografie bewertet.
